DPU Abortion Debate
A student-moderated debate on abortion between Mikki Kendall and Christina Bennett

The DPU is excited to host author and activist Mikki Kendall and pro-life advocate Christina Bennett for a debate examining the complex and contentious issue of abortion in America. Their discussion will explore the moral, legal, and societal implications of abortion, with a focus on the role of women’s rights, reproductive health, and the future of abortion policy in the nation. This event will be part of The DPU Debate Series: Critical Discourse in the Age of Disagreement.
Mikki Kendall is an author, activist, and the creator of the #SolidarityIsForWhiteWomen hashtag. A prominent voice in intersectional feminism, Mikki is the author of Hood
Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot, which critiques the ways in which mainstream feminism has often overlooked the issues affecting women of color. Her work focuses on social justice, race, and gender, and she frequently speaks on issues of inequality and the challenges facing marginalized communities. Christina Bennett is a pro-life advocate and communications director for the Family Institute of Connecticut. Christina also writes for Live Action, a leading organization in the fight to end abortion in America. She is a frequent speaker at pro-life events, and her work has been featured in national media outlets, where she shares the message of the value of every human life. Christina has appeared in various interviews as a voice for the pro-life cause.
